How can I install a gateway outdoor?

The gateway is not waterproof; therefore, other products must be used for outdoor installation, and systems with one or more PV strings must be different.

Assembly steps

After sourcing all materials, follow these instructions to install the gateway:

1. Open Spelsberg AKi 2-g Installatiebehuizing 300 x 300 x 132 Polycarbonaat Grijs
   
2. Install the Spelsberg TK NS35-216 DIN-rail Ongeperforeerd Plaatstaal 216 mm in the middle of the Spelsberg AKi 2-g Installatiebehuizing 300 x 300 x 132 Polycarbonaat Grijs
   
3. Assemble and pick all required cable glands.
   1. For 1 PV string
      1. Disassemble 1 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 including the cable grommet. The cable gland should look like this:
      2. Install the cable glands as shown in the picture below.
         
   2. For 2 PV string
      1. Disassemble 1 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 including the cable grommet. The cable gland should look like this:
      2. Disassemble 2 Wiska 10066526-1 (M20), remove the grommet and insert the Wiska 10060953.
      3. Install the cable glands as shown in the picture below.
         
   3. For 3 PV string
      1. Disassemble 1 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 including the cable grommet.
      2. Disassemble 2 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the Wiska 10064342.
      3. Install the cable glands as shown in the picture below.
         
   4. For 4 PV string
      1. Disassemble 1 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 including the cable grommet.
      2. Disassemble 2 Wiska 10066528 (M32), remove the grommet and insert the Wiska 10064344.
      3. Install the cable glands as shown in the picture below.
         
   5. For 5 PV string
      1. Disassemble 1 Wiska 10066527 (M25), remove the grommet and insert the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 including the cable grommet.
      2. Disassemble 2 Wiska 10066528 (M32), remove the grommet and insert the Wiska 10101140.
      3. Install the cable glands as shown in the picture below.
         
4. Snap the Taylor DIN rail bracket for gateway onto the DIN rail
   
5. Slide the TAYLOR-GTW-2C onto the Taylor DIN rail bracket for gateway
   
6. Attach the Eaton Z-SD230 to the DIN rail and connect the Faber Kabel 020312.
7. Slide the PV string cables through the TAYLOR-GTW-2C and remaining cable glands.
8. Connect the TAYLOR-GTW-C-03 to the gateway. The image below shows an example of the box for 2 PV strings.
   
9. Plug the power supply into the socket and connect it to the gateway.
   
10. Close the box. The gateway is ready to be mounted outdoors.
