Use of taylor panels with non-compatible inverter

To summarize briefly: The full functionality of the Taylor panels is not supported when used with a non-compatible inverter.

In practice, you can connect the Taylor panels to almost any inverter, as long as it meets the correct specifications (such as the maximum input voltage). However, it is important that the corresponding gateway is installed. This gateway ensures that the panels function properly and that the inverter’s production data is read and made visible to the customer.

Note: This data reading function only works with inverters that are compatible with our gateway. A list of compatible inverters can be found in the following document:
Gateway Communications Manual (EN)

When using a non-compatible inverter, the inverter's production data cannot be displayed via the gateway. However, panel-level data will still be available.

We therefore strongly recommend choosing an inverter that is fully compatible with the Taylor system, so a customer, can make full use of all functionalities.

In summary: It is technically possible to use a non-compatible inverter in combination with Taylor panels and the gateway, but certain features — such as reading inverter data — will not be available.
